Apps Description • Camera (PTP): The picture transfer protocol (PTP) enables you to transfer pictures without additional device drivers. View details of the applications installed on your tablet, check for the storage space used by these applications, or force an application to stop if they do not function correctly. PERSONAL Use this category to manage the settings related to your personal information, such as your accounts, location, data security, and so on. Note: To enable or disable a setting, touch the setting item to select or clear the check box. When a setting is enabled, a check is displayed in the check box. If other actions are required, follow the instructions on the screen. Table 6. All the added accounts are displayed on this view. Use the switch beside ADD ACCOUNT to turn on or turn off the auto-sycn function. For each account, touch it to configure the synchronization settings or to remove the account. When enabled, location point applications, such as Google Map, can use data from your Wi-Fi or mobile networks to determine your approximate location. Enable to use your tablet's GPS satellite receiver to pinpoint your location to within an accuracy as close as several meters ("street level"). GPS accuracy can be impacted by atmospheric conditions, obstructions, and other factors. Allow Google to use your location to improve search results and other Google services. Configure the screen unlock mode. See "Locking the tablet screen" on page 53. Set whether you want to display information about yourself (such as your contact information) on the locked screen and type the text you want to display. Encrypt your accounts, settings, downloaded applications, and so on. Encrypt the data on your flash media card. Once encrypted, it requires a password or PIN to decrypt your flash media card if the card is used on other tablets. Configure the tablet to require entering the SIM PIN to use the tablet. Note: This option is available only for the WAN-supported models. Enable to show the password as you type. Activate or deactivate applications through which your IT personnel are able to perform some administrative tasks on your tablet.
