Chapter 2. Server setup road map This chapter provides a general road map to guide you through the setup and configuration of your server. The server setup procedure varies depending on the configuration of the server when it was delivered. In some cases, the server is fully configured and you just need to connect the server to the network and an electrical outlet, and then you can turn on the server. In other cases, the server needs to have hardware features installed, requires hardware and firmware configuration, and requires the operating system to be installed. Table 1. Server setup road map
This chapter provides a general road map to guide you through the setup and configuration of your server.
The server setup procedure varies depending on the configuration of the server when it was delivered. In
some cases, the server is fully configured and you just need to connect the server to the network and an
electrical outlet, and then you can turn on the server. In other cases, the server needs to have hardware
features installed, requires hardware and firmware configuration, and requires the operating system to
be installed.
