Additional printer setup 46 > Reports > Menu Settings Page Printing a network setup page If the printer is attached to a network, then print a network setup page to verify the network connection. This page also provides important information that aids network printing configuration. 1 From the home screen, navigate to: > Reports > Network Setup Page 2 Check the first section of the network setup page, and confirm that the status is Connected. If the status is Not Connected, then the LAN drop may not be active, or the network cable may be malfunctioning. Consult a system support person for a solution, and then print another network setup page. Setting up the scanner software Installing the scanner software Note: If you installed the printer software on this computer before but need to reinstall the software, then uninstall the current software first. For Windows users 1 Close all open software programs. 2 Insert the Software and Documentation CD that came with the scanner. If the installation screen does not appear after a minute, then launch the CD manually: a Click , or click Start and then click Run. b In the Start Search or Run box, type D:\setup.exe, where D is the letter of the CD or DVD drive. c Press Enter, or click OK, 3 Click Install and then follow the instructions on the computer screen. For Macintosh users 1 Close all open software applications. 2 Insert the Software and Documentation CD that came with the scanner. If the installation dialog does not appear after a minute, then click the CD icon on the desktop. 3 Double-click Install, and then follow the instructions on the computer screen. Using the Internet 1 Go to the Lexmark Web site at www.lexmark.com. 2 Navigate to: Support & Download > select your device > select your operating system 3 Download the driver and install the printer software. Note: Updated printer software may be available at http://support.lexmark.com.
