Managing the NSS Upgrading the NSS Firmware 7 To upgrade the firmware: STEP 1 Back up the system configuration file on a USB flash device before you upgrade the firmware. It is advisable to back up the configuration file daily. STEP 2 Download the latest image from the support website to your local computer. STEP 3 From the Manager Menu, click Admin Maintenance. The System Details page appears. STEP 4 In the Firmware image file: field, either enter the location of the firmware file, or click Browse to locate it. STEP 5 Click Upgrade Firmware to initiate the upgrade process. During the upgrade, the Power LED alternates from yellow to green. STEP 6 When the firmware upgrade completes, the system automatically reboots. Wait until the Power LED is solid green before you log back into the configuration interface. If the upgrade is not successful, a message appears. (The Power LED appears solid yellow until you click OK after which the system reboots with the current version of the firmware.) For more information about the Power and System Error LEDs, see the "NSS LEDs," on page155. STEP 7 After the firmware upgrade is complete, we recommend that you clear your browser cache before you reconnect to the administrator interface. To upgrade the firmware:
STEP 1
