MS-9818 Mainboard Hardware Health Configuration These items display the current status of the monitored hardware devices/components such as voltages and temperatures. CPUFAN1 Mode Setting, SYSFAN1 Mode Setting This item enables or disables the Smart Fan feature. Smart Fan is an excellent feature which will adjust the CPU/system fan speed automatically depending on the current CPU temperature to prevent your system from overheating. Available options are: [Manual Mode], [Thermal Cruise Mode], [Speed Cruise Mode]. [Manual Mode] CPUFAN1 PWM Control, SYSFAN1 PWM Control This setting allows users to control the fan speed by changing the duty cycle of the fan PW M (Pulse-Width Modulation) output. [Speed Cruise Mode] CPUFAN1 TargetSpeed Value, SYSFAN1 TargetSpeed Value, Select a fan speed setting here, and if the fan speed of the CPU/system fans climbs up to the selected fan speed setting, the system will automatically increase the speed of the CPU/system fan to cool down the overheated CPU.
