▍ NVIDIA RAID NVIDIA RAID Utility Installation Installing the NVIDIA MediaShield Software Under Windows (for Non-bootable RAID Array) The existing Windows Serial ATA driver must be upgraded to use the NVIDIA Serial ATA driver. This section describes how to run the setup application and install the RAID software which will upgrade the Windows SATA driver and install the RAID software. 1. Start the NVIDIA nForce Drivers installation program to open the NVIDIA Windows nForce Drivers page. 2. Select the NVIDIA MediaShield. Important Make sure that the "NVIDIA Storage Driver" is selected. You must install the NVIDIA Storage driver in order to enable NVIDIA MediaShield. If you do not install the NVIDIA Storage driver, NVIDIA MediaShield will not be enabled. 3. Click Next and then follow the instructions. 4. After the installation is completed, be sure to reboot the PC. 5. After the reboot, initialize the newly created array. B-8

Start the NVIDIA nForce Dr±vers ±nstallat±on program to open the NVIDIA W±ndows
nForce Dr±vers page.

Select the NVIDIA Med±aSh±eld.

Cl±ck Next and then follow the ±nstruct±ons.
After the ±nstallat±on ±s completed, be sure to reboot the PC.
After the reboot, ±n±t±al±ze the newly created array.

Important
Make sure that the “NVIDIA Storage Dr±ver” ±s selected. You must ±nstall the NVIDIA
Storage dr±ver ±n order to enable NVIDIA Med±aSh±eld. If you do not ±nstall the
NVIDIA Storage dr±ver, NVIDIA Med±aSh±eld w±ll not be enabled.
