Hardware Setup Installing DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Card The DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards are memory switchers which should be installed in DIMM slots. If your memory is DDR2, you should install the DIMM_DDR3_1 side of DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards into DIMM_DDR3_1 and DIMM_DDR3_2. If your memory is DDR3, you should install the DIMM_DDR2_1 side of DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards into DIMM_DDR2_2 and DIMM_DDR2_4. DIMM_DDR2_1 Side DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Card DIMM_DDR3_1 Side W hen system memory is DDR2 Install the DIMM_DDR3_1 side of DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards intoDIMM_DDR3_1 and DIMM_DDR3_2 slots. W hen system memory is DDR3 Install the DIMM_DDR2_1 side of DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards intoDIMM_DDR2_2 and DIMM_DDR2_4 slots. Important - In Dual-Channel mode, make sure that you install memory modules of the same type and density in different channel DIMM slots. - To enable successful system boot-up, always insert the memory modules into the DIMM_DDR2_1 or DIMM_DDR3_1 first. - To overclock your DDR3 memory and raise FSB higher then 1333MHz, you must remove the DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards from the DIMM slots. 2-9

Installing DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Card
The DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards are memory switchers which should be installed in
DIMM slots. If your memory is DDR2, you should install the DIMM_DDR3_1 side of
DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards into DIMM_DDR3_1 and DIMM_DDR3_2. If your memory is
DDR3, you should install the DIMM_DDR2_1 side of DDR2/DDR3 Turbo Cards into
DIMM_DDR2_2 and DIMM_DDR2_4.

Install the DIMM_DDR3_1
side of DDR2/DDR3 Turbo
Cards into DIMM_DDR3_1
and DIMM_DDR3_2 slots.

side of DDR2/DDR3 Turbo
Cards into DIMM_DDR2_2
and DIMM_DDR2_4 slots.
Important

In Dual-Channel mode, make sure that you install memory modules of
the
same type and density
in different channel DIMM slots.

To enable successful system boot-up, always insert the memory modules
into the
DIMM_DDR2_1
or
DIMM_DDR3_1
first.

To overclock your DDR3 memory and raise FSB higher then 1333MHz, you
