Security It is recommended that the Magellan RoadMate is not left in plain view while unattended for reasons of theft. Please note that the Magellan RoadMate is a receiver only and does not transmit GPS location signals. The receiver nor the vehicle can be tracked using the Magellan RoadMate. Region By default, the Magellan RoadMate has the region setting for the lower 48 United States. When the receiver is turned on for the first time it may ask you to assign regions. Select the map region you want to use by tapping on the item from the list. If you are travelling in other regions you will need to change the map region by using the following steps. 1 From the Main Menu, tap on the right arrow to access the second page of the Main Menu. 2 Tap on User Options. 3 Tap on Region. 4 Tap on the map region desired.
