The high-level steps involved in this approach are: Task 1 Upgrade the existing Central Manager server to 6.0. See Stand-alone Central Manager upgrade. 2 Post-upgrade, back up the 6.0 database of the Central Manager server. See Performing a database backup. 3 On the network, replace the existing Central Manager server with the new one. Make sure that the IP address of the new Central Manager is the same as that of the existing one. If the IP is different, then the Managers cannot communicate with the new Central Manager machine. Then you need to re-establish this communication from each Manager. 4 On the new machine, install Central Manager 6.0. See the Installation Guide for information. 5 Restore the 6.0 database backup from the existing Central Manager on the new machine. It assumes that you have a 64-bit system with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition installed.
It assumes that your existing Central Manager server and the new machine meet the other
requirements discussed in Reviewing the upgrade requirements.
The high-level steps involved in this approach are:
Task
1
Upgrade the existing Central Manager server to 6.0. See Stand-alone Central Manager upgrade.

Post-upgrade, back up the 6.0 database of the Central Manager server. See Performing a database
backup.

On the network, replace the existing Central Manager server with the new one.
Make sure that the IP address of the new Central Manager is the same as that of the existing one.
If the IP is different, then the Managers cannot communicate with the new Central Manager
machine. Then you need to re-establish this communication from each Manager.

On the new machine, install Central Manager 6.0. See the
