OPERATION (CONTINUED) TO SET THE TIMER 1 2 3 21 With the unit off, press and hold the TIMER button until the TIMER ON hour blinks in the display for a few seconds. Within a few seconds, press the Tune/Skip/Time Down (-) 1 or Up (+) 2 button to set the TIMER ON hour2. Then press the TIMER button 31again to confirm. Repeat to set the TIMER ON minute, TIMER OFF hour and TIMER OFF minute. 3 3 21 Press the Tune/Skip/Time Down (-) 1 or Up (+) 2 button to set the desired mode (iPod, CD, Tuner). Then press the TIMER button 3 again to confirm. Repeat to set the desired volume. After the volume is set, the TIMER ON time, TIMER OFF time, mode and volume level you set will appear briefly in the display. Then, the actual time will appear in the display again. (When the actual time matches the TIMER ON time, the unit will turn on to the mode and volume selected in this step.) NOTES: • The TIMER ON time is the time you automatically want the unit to turn on; the TIMER OFF time is the time you automatically want the unit to turn off. • "ERROR" will appear in the display if you make an invalid entry (i.e., set the TIMER ON time and TIMER OFF time to the exact same time. • Press the Power button to turn the unit off but leave the TIMER ON time set for the next day. • To activate the Timer mode, press the TIMER button; "TIMER" will remain lit in the display. To cancel, press the TIMER button until "TIMER" disappears from the display. • Before setting the TIMER ON time, make sure an AM/FM station is tuned (when the mode in Step 3 is set to TUNER), there is a disc inside the CD compartment (when the mode is set to CD) or your iPod is connected (when the mode is set to iPod). • When the timer is activated, the display will show the timer information. 26

NOTES:
The TIMER ON time is the time you
