IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Technical safety  This appliance must be installed and connected in compliance with the installation instructions.  Unauthorized installation, maintenance, and repairs can cause considerable danger for the user. Installation, maintenance, and repairs must only be carried out by a Miele authorized technician.  Maintenance by the user: Never repair or replace any part of the appliance unless the instructions specifically recommend doing so. Service work should only be performed by a qualified technician.  Before installing the oven, check for externally visible damage. Do not operate a damaged appliance.  Reliable and safe operation of the oven can only be guaranteed if it is connected to the power supply.  To guarantee the electrical safety of this appliance, continuity must exist between the appliance and an effective grounding system. This appliance must be grounded. Connect only to properly grounded outlet. See "Electrical connection - GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS". It is imperative that this basic safety requirement be met. If there is any doubt, have the electrical system of the house checked by a qualified electrician.  Proper installation: Make sure that your appliance has been installed correctly and that it has been grounded by a qualified technician.  Before installation, make sure that the voltage and frequency listed on the data plate correspond with the household electrical supply.
