DC800 Bluetooth® Home Stereo Adapter IMPORTANT: Be sure to first follow the Quick Start Guide on the reverse side to complete initial setup of your DC800. FEATURES Your DC800 Home Stereo Adapter connects to your home audio system and turns it into a wireless music system. With your DC800, you can: q Listen to music from your Bluetooth phone's built-in MP3 player over your home audio system speakers (for phones that support streaming stereo music over Bluetooth using A2DP profile). q Play music on your home audio system and send the music wirelessly to your Motorola Bluetooth Stereo Headphone. q Use the stereo adapter's high power Bluetooth (Class 1) with other Class 1 devices to roam around your house further than the 30 foot range of most Bluetooth products. FEATURES CONTINUED q Play MP3s from your home computer or laptop and listen to them over your home audio speakers using the Motorola Stereo PC Adapter or embedded Bluetooth module. q Use your stereo adapter with any Bluetooth stereo audio device, even products from other manufacturers. FRONT PANEL CONTROLS The DC800 Home Stereo Adapter contains the following front panel controls and indicators. BACK PANEL CONNECTORS The DC800 Home Stereo Adapter contains the following back panel connectors. Housing Feet Pairing Button with Indicator Light Power Button Housing feet are built-in and can be rotated 90 degress allowing the stereo adapter to stand vertically. For horizontal orientation, the feet remain flush for compact storage. Audio Out Jacks Audio In Jacks Power Jack When you see this symbol on a Motorola product, do not dispose the product with household waste. Recycling Mobile Phones and Accessories Do not dispose of mobile phones or electrical accessories, such as chargers or headsets, with your household waste. In some countries or regions, collection systems are set up to handle electrical and electronic waste items. Contact your regional authorities for more details. If collection systems aren't available, return unwanted mobile phones or electrical accessories to any Motorola Approved Service Centre in your region. OPERATING WITH BLUETOOTH DEVICES Once paired with a Bluetooth device, the stereo adapter automatically connects to the device when it is in range and turned on. The DC800 Home Stereo Adapter stores pairing information for up to eight Bluetooth devices. Device IDs are stored in the gateway's memory in the order entered. If you try to pair with more than eight devices, the oldest paired device is removed from memory. DC800 FUNCTIONS Function Action Turn On DC800 Press in the Power button. The DC800 attempts to connect to the last device it was connected to. Enter Pairing Mode Press and hold the Pairing button until the indicator light remains solidly lit (about 5 seconds). The DC800 scans for Bluetooth devices. Stop Audio Transmission Tap Pairing button. (audio is transmitting) Reenable Audio Transmission Tap Pairing button. Indicator light blinks with a slow pulse. Turn Off DC800 Press the Power button. INDICATOR LIGHTS The Pairing button indicator light provides status information about your DC800.
