Chapter 2 General Radio Operations Your radio is ready for use after a fully-charged battery has been installed. However, your radio should be programmed in order to be fully compatible with any existing DTR Series radios and to fully utilize all radio features. Refer to Chapter 3 - Advanced Radio Operations. Turning Your Radio On or Off Press to turn your radio on. The radio chirps and the display briefly shows Motorola. The display shows the radio Unit ID or Name, current Scroll list setting, time, date, and the available Option key selections. Adjusting the Speaker Volume The Volume Control buttons are located on the upper left side of the radio. To adjust the speaker volume, press the upper button to increase the volume level and press the lower button to decrease the volume level. Turning Your Radio On or Off
Press
to turn your radio on.
The radio chirps and the display briefly shows
