AGPS limitations & tips Your phone uses Assisted Global Positioning System (AGPS) satellite signals to estimate your location. If your phone cannot find strong satellite signals, your AGPS might be slower, less accurate, or it might not work at all. AGPS provides only an approximate location, often within 150 feet (45 meters) but sometimes much farther from your actual location. To improve AGPS accuracy: • Go outside and away from underground locations, covered vehicles, structures with metal or concrete roofs, tall buildings, and 48 customize foliage. Indoor performance might improve if you move closer to windows, but some window sun shielding films can block satellite signals. • Move away from radios, entertainment equipment, and other electronic devices that might interfere with or block AGPS satellite signals. • Extend your phone antenna. • Hold your phone away from your body, and point the phone antenna toward the sky. Do not cover the antenna area with your fingers. AGPS uses satellites controlled by the U.S. government and subject to changes implemented in accordance with the Department of Defense AGPS user policy and the Federal Radio Navigation Plan. These changes might affect AGPS performance.
