Bluetooth Status Indicators When Bluetooth is powered on, the Bluetooth indicator on the front of the phone flashes. The following icons show your Bluetooth connection status at a glance: ⅷ - Bluetooth is connected. ⅷ - (steady) Bluetooth is active. ⅷ - (flashing) phone is in discovery mode. Setting Up Bluetooth You need to connect your phone to your Bluetooth headset before you can begin using it. To do this, you need to: ⅷ Enter the name your phone uses for Bluetooth communication. ⅷ Set your phone to be discovered by other Bluetooth devices. ⅷ View your phone's Bluetooth address. Your Phone's Bluetooth Name Your phone's Bluetooth name will be seen by other in-range Bluetooth devices, depending on your Visibility settings. Your phone comes with a default Bluetooth name. You can change this to make it easy for others to find you. To change the default Bluetooth name: 1. Press S > Settings/Tools > Tools > Bluetooth. 2. Press Options (right softkey). 3. Highlight Settings and press S. 4. Highlight the Rename Motorola V950 field and then press S. 5. Use your keypad to enter a new name and then press S. 6. Press Save (left softkey).
