Bluetooth Status Indicators When Bluetooth is powered on, the Bluetooth indicator on the front of the phone flashes. The following icons show your Bluetooth connection status at a glance: ⅷ - Bluetooth is connected. ⅷ - (steady) Bluetooth is active. ⅷ - (flashing) phone is in discovery mode. Setting Up Bluetooth You need to connect your phone to your Bluetooth headset before you can begin using it. To do this, you need to: ⅷ Enter the name your phone uses for Bluetooth communication. ⅷ Set your phone to be discovered by other Bluetooth devices. ⅷ View your phone's Bluetooth address. Your Phone's Bluetooth Name Your phone's Bluetooth name will be seen by other in-range Bluetooth devices, depending on your Visibility settings. Your phone comes with a default Bluetooth name. You can change this to make it easy for others to find you. To change the default Bluetooth name: 1. Press S > Settings/Tools > Tools > Bluetooth. 2. Press Options (right softkey). 3. Highlight Settings and press S. 4. Highlight the Rename Motorola V950 field and then press S. 5. Use your keypad to enter a new name and then press S. 6. Press Save (left softkey). Bluetooth Status Indicators
When Bluetooth is powered on, the Bluetooth indicator
on the front of the phone flashes.
The following icons show your Bluetooth connection
status at a glance:

— Bluetooth is connected.

Setting Up Bluetooth
You need to connect your phone to your Bluetooth
headset before you can begin using it. To do this, you
need to:

Enter the name your phone uses for Bluetooth
communication.

Set your phone to be discovered by other Bluetooth
devices.
²
View your phone’s Bluetooth address.
Your Phone’s Bluetooth Name
Your phone’s Bluetooth name will be seen by other
in-range Bluetooth devices, depending on your
Visibility settings. Your phone comes with a default
Bluetooth name. You can change this to make it easy
for others to find you.
To change the default Bluetooth name:
