Settings ⅷ Left Sftkey - sets the main menu item you access when you press the left softkey in standby mode. ⅷ Right Sftkey - sets the main menu item you access when you press the right softkey in standby mode. ⅷ Power Up - sets the main menu item you see when you power on your phone. To set standby mode to be the first thing you see when you power on your phone, select Default Ready. Volume Features The Volume menu sets the volume of sounds your phone makes: ⅷ Line 1 - sets ringer volume for phone line 1. ⅷ Line 2 - sets ringer volume for phone line 2. ⅷ Messages - sets the volume of message notifications and Datebook reminders. ⅷ Earpiece - sets the volume of sound coming out of the earpiece. ⅷ Speaker - sets the volume of sound coming out of the speaker. ⅷ Keypad - sets the volume of sound associated with pressing keys and buttons. ⅷ Java Earpiece - sets the volume of sound associated with Java applications coming out of the earpiece. ⅷ Java Spkr - sets the volume of sound associated with Java applications coming out of the speaker. ⅷ Data - sets the volume of sounds that notify you that you are receiving a circuit data call. Security Features The Security menu lets you turn security features on and off and change passwords: ⅷ Phone Lock - turns on a feature that locks your phone: Lock Now takes effect immediately; Auto Lock takes effect when your phone is powered off and then on. An unlock code is required to enable this feature, to unlock the phone, and to set a new unlock code. Contact Nextel Customer Service for your default unlock code. ⅷ Keypad Lock - locks the phone's keypad, either immediately or automatically after a set period of inactivity. ⅷ SIM PIN - enables and disables your phone's SIM PIN security feature.
