Recycling your phone reduces the amount of waste disposed in landfills and allows recycled materials to be incorporated into new products. The Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) and its members encourage consumers to recycle their phones and have taken steps to promote the collection and environmentally sound recycling of end-of-life devices.
