TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR SINGLE SERVE BREWER Beyond these recommended cleaning and maintenance procedures this Brewer is not user serviceable, for service please refer to the Warranty section in this guide. PROBLEM SOLUTION BREWER DOESN'T BREW Make sure the Power Button is pressed and is illuminated. OR TURN ON Plug Brewer into an independent outlet. Check to be sure that it is plugged in securely. Plug into a different outlet. BREW NOW BUTTON IS It will pulse for about 3-4 minutes while it is heating and then PULSING brewing. BREWER WILL NOT BREW WHEN USED FOR THE FIRST TIME If Brewer is cold/frozen, wait for at least two hours for it to reach room temperature before powering on. If brew button is pulsing but coffee is not brewing, please check to make sure there is water in the reservoir and K-Cup® holder is in place. If the brew button is pulsing but coffee is not brewing, unit may be clogged, follow descaling instructions. If the descaling cycle does not help a cleaning pump can be obtained from our call center, please call 1-800-672-6333. BREWER WILL NOT BREW It will take time for the water to heat up, brew time may take a few minutes. While the water is being heated the Brew LED will pulse. BREWING A PARTIAL CUP The Exit Needle may be clogged (refer to page 14). Clean K-Cup® Pack Holder if necessary and rinse under faucet (refer to page 14). De-scale the Brewer (refer to page 16). UNIT IS MAKING NOISES If you have repeated the de-scale procedure on your Brewer two times and the Brewer is still not brewing, contact Customer Service. Unit does make rumbling noises while the water is heated, this is normal operation. Allow unit to finish brewing, do not open reservoir lid during brew cycle. 18 BVMC-SC500 Series_16ESM1.indd 18-19 REPAIRS If your coffeemaker requires service, do not return it to the store where you purchased it. All repairs and replacements must be made by Sunbeam or an authorized Sunbeam Service Center.
