HOW TO BREW USING MY GROUNDSTM FILTER 1. P lace Brewer upright on a flat surface, remove protective sheet and plug into outlet. 2. Fill the My GroundsTM reusable filter with 2 tbsp. of your choice of ground coffee. Do not exceed the MAX fill line. 3. Press lock tab and pull K-Cup® Holder forward. NOTE: Make sure the edge of the filter is free and clear of any particles to avoid leaking. 4. L ift and open the top of the K-Cup® Holder. 5. P lace My GroundsTM reusable filter inside of K-Cup® Holder and close K-Cup® Holder Lid. 6. Push K-Cup® Holder back into place. The locking tab will snap to lock it in place. CAUTION: • T here are two sharp needles that puncture the K-Cup® Pack, one above the K-Cup® Pack Holder and the other at the bottom of the K-Cup® Pack Holder. To avoid risk of injury, do not put your fingers in the K-Cup® Pack Housing Assembly. • D o not remove K-Cup® holder during the brew cycle. • D o not remove water reservoir or open the lid during the brew cycle. • D o not brew without K-cup® Holder in place. 10 BVMC-SC500 Series_16ESM1.indd 10-11 7. R emove water reservoir and reservoir lid, then fill with filtered or bottled water below the MAX fill line. Do not exceed the MAX fill line. 9. Place a coffee cup or travel mug (up to 10oz) on the drip tray plate. 8. C lose reservoir lid and slide reservoir back into place. NOTES: A. Always brew with reservoir in place and with lid closed. B. F or convenience water reservoir holds up 24-oz of water to avoid constant refilling. Ensure the cup or mug can hold the liquid based on the brew size selected. C. Any liquid overflow from your cup will be collected by the drip tray to keep brew space neat and clean. 10. P ress the Serving Size Button to choose 6 oz or 10 oz. A light will indicate your selection. 11. Press Strong Brew to adjust brew strength for bold taste if you like a stronger cup. 11 5/5/16 10:44
