Enter the Wireless Network Name (SSID) for this profile. 6. Enable or disable the Broadcast Wireless Network Name (SSID). It is enabled by default. (If it is broadcast, it can be easily detected by other clients.) 7. Select the Network Authentication method. The procedures for configuring the various types of security are described in the subsequent sections. Configuring WEP To configure WEP data encryption: 1. From the Network Authentication drop-down menu, choose either Open System or Shared Key authentication. 2. From the Data Encryption drop-down menu, select encryption strength (64 bits, 128 bits or 152 bits). Figure 2-12. 3. You can manually or automatically program the four data encryption keys.
