Tutorial-First Steps Step 3-Check the Battery Level Before using the camera, check the battery level in the monitor to make sure that the battery is charged. 3.1 Turn the lens section to shooting position Before taking pictures, rotate the lens section to bring the lens into shooting position, as shown at right. If you omit this step before sliding the mode selector to , a message will be displayed in the monitor. Removing the Memory Card Memory cards can be removed without loss of data when the camera is off. When removing memory cards, turn the camera off and open the battery chamber/memory card slot cover (1).
