Taking Photographs-Using Camera Menus Making a Selection To modify settings for an item in the current menu: 1 2 Optimize image N Long exp. NR OFF Image quality NORM Image size White bal. A ISO 200 Highlight menu item. Image quality RAW NEF(Raw) FINE JPEG Fine NORM JPEG NormaOl K BASIC JPEG Basic RAW+BNEF+JPEG Basic Display options. 3 Image quality RAW NEF(Raw) OK 4 FINE JPEG Fine NORM JPEG Normal BASIC JPEG Basic RAW+BNEF+JPEG Basic Highlight option. Optimize image N Long exp. NR OFF Image quality RAW Image size White bal. A ISO 200 Make selection. • To return to the previous menu without making a selection, press the multi selector to the left. • The selection for some options is made from a sub-menu. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make a selection from a sub-menu. • Some menu items may not be available in some modes, during recording, or when no memory card is inserted in the camera. • Pressing the button performs the same function as pressing the multi selector to the right. In some cases, a selection can only be made using button. Exiting the Menus To exit the menus, press the button (if a menu option is highlighted, press the button twice). You can also exit the menus by pressing the button to exit to playback mode or by turning the camera off. To exit the menus and focus the camera for the next shot, press the shutter-release button halfway. 40
