Image Mode The following table shows the approximate number of pictures that can be stored in the memory or on 128- and 256-megabyte memory cards at different image mode settings. Image Mode and Number of Exposures Remaining The figure shown in the monitor for the number of exposures remaining is only an approximation. The file size of compressed images varies with the scene recorded, producing wide variations in the number of pictures that can be stored. Image Size Smaller images create smaller files suited to transmission by e-mail or use in web pages. When printed at larger sizes, however, small images will be rough and uneven in appearance. Print Size The size of images when printed depends on the printer resolution: the higher the resolution, the smaller the final print size.
