Flash Mode When the flash is raised, the flash mode can be set according to shooting conditions. 1 Press the m (flash pop-up) button to raise the flash. • When the flash is lowered, flash operation is disabled and W is displayed. 2 Press the multi selector H (X). 3 Select the desired flash mode (A48) Auto and press the k button. • If the setting is not applied by pressing the k button, the selection will be canceled. C The Flash Lamp • The status of the flash can be confirmed by pressing the shutter-release button halfway. - On: The flash fires when you press the shutter-release button all the way down. - Flashing: The flash is charging. The camera cannot shoot images. - Off: The flash does not fire when a picture is taken. • If the battery level is low, the screen turns off while the flash is charging. 47 Shooting Features Flash Mode
