Using the Flash In dark locations or when the subject is backlit, you can take images with the flash by raising the flash. When using A (auto) mode and other shooting modes, you can select the flash mode to match the shooting conditions. 1 Press the m (flash pop-up) button. • The flash pops up. • The flash does not fire while it is lowered. W is displayed to indicate that the flash does not fire. Shooting Features 2 Press the multi selector H (m). 3 Select the desired flash mode (A 41) and Auto press the k button. • If a setting is not applied by pressing the k button within a few seconds, the selection will be canceled. 40
