Problem Monitor is blank. Monitor is hard to read. Date and time of recording are not correct. Print date not available. Cause/Solution A • Camera is off. • Battery exhausted. • Standby mode for saving power: Press the power switch, the shutter-release button, c (shooting/ playback mode) button, or b (e movie-record) button. • When flash lamp flashes, wait until flash has charged. • Camera and computer are connected via USB cable. • Camera and TV are connected via audio/video cable. 21 20 2, 21 36 68, 73 68, E50 • Adjust monitor brightness. • Monitor is dirty. Clean monitor. 84, E40 F8 • If camera clock has not been set, O flashes when shooting images and recording movies. Images and movies saved before clock is set are dated "00/ 00/0000 00:00" or "01.01.13 00:00" respectively. The shooting date and time of still images is not displayed during playback. Set the correct time and date using Date and time in the camera settings menu. • Check camera clock regularly against more accurate timepieces and reset as required. 16, 84, E39 Date and time in the camera settings menu has not 16, 84, been set.
