The Movie Menu D Movie Options On the shooting screen M Tap the d tab M D Movie options Select the desired movie option to record. A larger image size improves the image quality and increases the file size. Option Description N HD 720p (1280×720) (default setting*) Movies with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are recorded. y VGA (640×480) Movies with an aspect ratio of 4:3 are recorded. z QVGA (320×240) Movies with an aspect ratio of 4:3 are recorded. * When recording in the internal memory, the default setting is y VGA (640×480). • The frame rate is approximately 30 fps for all options. Option A Single AF (default setting) B Full-time AF Description Focus is locked when the b (e movie-record) button is pressed to start recording. Select this option when the distance between the camera and the subject will remain fairly consistent. Camera focuses continuously during movie recording. Select this option when the distance between the camera and the subject will change. The sound of the camera focusing may be heard in the recorded movie. To prevent sound of camera focusing from interfering with recording, use of Single AF is recommended. Reference Section E62
