Troubleshooting If the camera fails to function as expected, check the list of common problems below before consulting your retailer or Nikon-authorized service representative. Power, Display, Settings Issues Problem The camera is on but does not respond. Battery inserted in the camera cannot be charged. Camera cannot be turned on. Cause/Solution A Wait for recording to end. If the problem persists, turn the camera off. If the camera does not turn off, remove and reinsert the battery or batteries or, if you are using an AC adapter, disconnect and reconnect the AC adapter. Note that although any data currently being recorded will be lost, data that have already been recorded will not be affected by removing or disconnecting the power source. 25, E113 • Confirm all connections. 16 • Off is selected for Charge by computer in the 105, setup menu. E100 • When charging by connecting the camera to a 105 computer, battery charging stops if the camera is turned off. • When charging by connecting the camera to a 105 computer, battery charging stops if the computer is suspended (sleeping), and the camera may turn off. • Depending upon computer specifications, settings, - and status, charging the battery inserted in the camera may not be possible via computer connection.
