Error Messages The following table lists the error messages and other warnings displayed in the monitor, as well as the solutions for dealing with them. Display O(blinks) B N Battery exhausted. Q(blinks red) Problem Clock not set. Battery running low. Battery exhausted. Camera cannot focus. P Please wait for the camera to finish recording. N Memory card is write protected. P This card cannot be used. Camera cannot perform other operations until recording is complete. Write-protect switch is in "lock" position. Error accessing memory card. P This card cannot be read. Solution A Set clock. 96 Prepare to replace batteries. 14, 111 Replace batteries. • Refocus. • Use focus lock. 24, 25, 29 Wait until message clears 25 from display automatically when recording is complete. Slide write-protect switch to 19 "write" position. • Use approved card. 115 • Check that connectors 18 are clean. • Confirm that memory 18 card is correctly inserted. P Card is not formatted. Format card? No Yes N Out of memory. Memory card has not been formatted for use in COOLPIX L100. Memory card is full.
