SIM card and battery Install the SIM card The SIM card and its contacts can easily be damaged by scratches or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting, or removing the card. 1 With the phone positioned as shown in the illustration below, locate the SIM card slot. 2 Install the SIM card by sliding it gently into the slot as shown in the illustration below, making sure the gold colored contact area is face down. SIM card installed SIM card slot Beveled corner SIM card directional icon on type label • INSTALL THE BATTERY 1 Position the battery (with the label side facing up), so the gold colored contacts match up with those on the phone. 2 Slide the battery until it snaps into place.
