12 Your wireless Internet browser Your phone has a built-in browser you can use to connect to selected services on the wireless Internet. You can view weather reports, check news or flight times, view financial information, make online purchases and much more. Warning: Do not switch on the phone when the use of a wireless phone is prohibited or when it may cause interference or danger. Note: Check with your wireless provider for WAP service availability. WAP pages are designed using Wireless Markup Language (WML), xHTML. Since web pages are designed using Hyper Text Mark-up Language (HTML), all web pages cannot be 12 viewed from your phone. Note: This feature uses dynamic memory. For a detailed explanation on dynamic memory see "Dynamic memory use" on page 18. • NOTES ON WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS This section gives a brief overview of wireless Internet technology. Technology background WAP A technology called Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) is to mobile devices what the World Wide Web (WWW) is to personal computers.
