PC connectivity To set the phone to show you the confirmation messages sent between your phone and the network when you are using the SIM services, select Menu > Settings > Phone > Confirm SIM serv. actions > Yes. Accessing these services may involve sending messages or making a phone call for which you may be charged. 16. Download version 6.83 or higher for your device. ■ EGPRS, HSCSD, and CSD With your phone you can use the enhanced GPRS (EGPRS), general packet radio service (GPRS), high-speed circuit switched data (HSCSD), and circuit switched data (CSD, GSM data) data services. For availability and subscription to data services, contact your network operator or service provider. The use of HSCSD services consumes the phone battery faster than normal voice or data calls. You may need to connect the phone to a charger for the duration of data transfer. See Modem settings p. 60. 89
