Performing the Initial Configuration To connect the power supply 1. Connect the power cord securely into the power cord receptacle on the power supply. 2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded power strip or wall outlet. 3. Toggle the power switch to the on position to provide power to the IP150 appliance. Caution To reduce stress on the power supply, when you turn the appliance on, wait at least ten seconds before you turn it off. Likewise, when you turn the power supply off, wait at least ten seconds before you turn it back on. Note The IP150 appliance power supply automatically detects the input voltage (115 VAC or 220 VAC [100 to 120 and 200 to 240]) and configures itself appropriately. 4. Check the power LED on the front panel of the appliance to ensure that the power supply is operating correctly. If the fans are not running, or if the power LED is not illuminated, make sure that: „ The power cord is properly connected. „ The power supply switch is on. „ Power is turned on to the power strip or wall receptacle into which you plugged the appliance. If the fans are still not running, or if the power LED does not illuminate, contact your Nokia service provider as listed in "Nokia Contact Information" on page 3 for technical support. Performing the Initial Configuration The initial configuration allows you to assign a hostname, create the admin password, and to configure the management interface. To perform the initial configuration 1. Turn on the appliance. At the console a series of startup messages appears, then the following prompt appears: Type any character to enter command mode. The prompt remains on the screen for about five seconds. If you type any character during this time, the system activates the Nokia IPSO boot manager. To connect the power supply
1.
Connect the power cord securely into the power cord receptacle on the power supply.
2.
Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded power strip or wall outlet.
3.
Toggle the power switch to the on position to provide power to the IP150 appliance.
Caution
To reduce stress on the power supply, when you turn the appliance on, wait at least ten
seconds before you turn it off. Likewise, when you turn the power supply off, wait at least
ten seconds before you turn it back on.
Note
The IP150 appliance
power supply automatically detects the input voltage (115 VAC or
