This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If the equipment is not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, try to correct the interference using one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment and the reciever to outlets that are on different circuits. • Consult with the dealer or an experienced radio/television technician to help. • Always use the power cord provided with your machine. When an extension cord is required, always use a properly rated cord. • In countries other than the United States, please contact your point of purchase. If your machine is a 220-240V model, there is no need to attach a separate ground (earth) line since the ground (earth) connection is incorporated in the power line. Plug it into a properly rated outlet. The use of a non-shielded interface cable with the reference devices is prohibited. Shielded interface cables must not exceed the following limitations: • The length of the IEEE 1284 parallel interface cable must be 50 feet (15 meters) or less. • The length of the Ethernet interface cable must be 328 feet (100 meters) or less for type 10/100BASE-T or 185 meters (607 feet) or less for type 10/BASE-2. • The length of the power cord must be 10 feet (3 meters) or less. Industry Canada (IC) IC Radio Interference Statement This Oki Data apparatus complies with the Class B limits for radio interference as specified in the IC Radio Interference Regulations. European Union Council of the European Communities (EU) EU Statement of Electromagnetic Conformance This product complies with the requirements of the Council Directive 89/336/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the member states relating to electromagnetic compatibility. EU Statement of Safety Conformance This product is in conformity with Directive 73/23/EEC on the harmonization of the laws of Member States relating to electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits. Safety Compliance Safety Standards This product conforms the following safety standards: UL1950 CSA C22.2 No. 950 EN 60950 IEC 950 73/23/EEC Class 1 Laser Device and CDRH Compliance This printer is certified as a Class 1 laser product under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Radiation Performance Standard according to the Radiation Control for Health and Safety Act of 1968. This certification indicates that the printer does not emit hazardous laser radiation. Since radiation emitted inside the printer is completely confined within the protective housings and external covers, the laser beam cannot escape from the machine during any phase of user operation. The Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration implemented regulations for laser products on August 1976. These regulations apply to laser products marketed in the United States. The label on the printer indicates compliance with the CDRH regulations and must be attached to laser products marketed in the United States.
