ABOUT RGB AND CMYK COLOR Some application programs give you the choice to create and edit documents using either RGB color or CMYK color. Typically, only professional graphics and desktop publishing software support CMYK color. Most application programs only support RGB color, for example Microsoft Office programs or web browsers. If your application program does not give you the choice of RGB or CMYK color, you should assume that it only supports RGB. The RGB color model is based on the three primary colors of light; Red, Green and Blue. This model is used by scanners, digital cameras and computer monitors. The CMYK color model is based on Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black printer inks or toners. ABOUT THE PRINTER DRIVERS Depending on your operating system, you may have the choice of different drivers to use with your MFP. You may wish to select a printer driver based on whether it supports CMYK data.
