IR TRANSCEIVER IrDA • IrDA 1.0 infrared standard compatible • 115,200 baud with baudrate switching capabilities Connection • DIN-6 System Requirements Features The IR Transceiver, combined with the OkiLAN® 6100e+ print server, enhances the mobility of your portable computer, PDA or other device by allowing you to walk up to a printer and print. The IR Transceiver automatically detects and connects to your portable's infrared port when it is within 3 feet (1 meter) of the adapter. Once the connection is made, you simply print as if you were connected through a physical connection. Specifications Compatible with the OkiLAN 6100e+ print server's IrDA (infrared) communication port for wireless printing from devices such as PDAs and notebook computers with infrared printing capabilities. • OkiLAN 6100e+ Print Server with infrared port connection. • Infrared port on notebook or mobile device meeting the IrDA standard. • Infrared print drivers on the mobile device. Infrared print drivers are provided by third parties for PCs using Windows 95/98 operating systems or by generic drivers within Palm OS printing utilities. Windows CE and Windows 98 users should have the appropriate compatible drivers built in to the operating system, but the mobile device must be configured for infrared printing.
