Additional shooting functions Recording movies This function is for recording movies. The sound is automatically recorded when recording a movie. Although the camera maintains the correct exposure during movie recording even if your subject moves, the focus and zoom will be locked so it will be out of focus if the distance to the subject is changed. These movies can be played back on the camera. 1 Decide the composition of the picture. • The remaining recording time in the internal memory or card is displayed on the monitor. 4 • You can use the zoom button to enlarge your subject. 2 Press the shutter button fully to start recording. • The lamp on the camera blinks orange and the recording starts. • During movie recording, N lights red. Note • The digital zoom and the flash cannnot be used. • Remaining recording time may become exhausted quickly during recording. Try formatting the internal memory or card with your camera before continuing recording. g"Formatting" (P. 66) Notes for recording long movies • The camera continues to record the movie until the shutter button is pressed again or the space in the internal memory or card is exhausted. • If a single movie recording uses up all of the space in the internal memory or card, create space by erasing the movie or downloading it to a computer. 42

Recording movies
This function is for recording movies. The sound is automatically recorded
when recording a movie.
Although the camera maintains the correct exposure during movie
recording even if your subject moves, the focus and zoom will be locked
