About playback Playback The recorder can playback WAV*, MP3 and WMA format files. To playback a file recorded with other machines, you need to transfer (copy) it from a computer. * For WS-710M, WS-700M only. STOP (4) button +− button OK `/MENU button For WS-710M/WS-700M: • When you want to playback a file transferred from your PC, set the recorder in [Recorder] or [Music] mode based on where you have transferred the file. • If you want to playback the file you recorded, set the recorder to [Recorder] mode (☞ P.21). 1 Select the folder which contains the files to be played back (☞ P.22 to P.24). 2 Press the OK `/MENU button to start playback. • [•] will appear on the display. a b c d e a Recording media indicator*, File 3 name b Folder indicator c Playback position bar indicator d Elapsed playback time e File length * For WS-710M, WS-700M only. 3 Press the + or − button to adjust to a comfortable listening volume. Playback • The volume can be adjusted within a range from [00] to [30]. 4 Press the STOP (4) button at any point you want to stop the playback. • [¶] will appear on the display. • This will stop the file being played back midway. When the resume function is activated the stopped location will be registered, even if the power is turned off. The next time the power is turned on, playback may be EN 31 resumed from the registered stopped location.
