Phone Signal strength is weak Become familiar with low coverage areas where you live, commute, work, and play. Then you will know when to expect signal strength issues. You can check signal strength by looking at the signal strength indicator in the title bar of the Main View in the Phone application. The stronger the signal, the more bars that appear.
