. Colour Memory - The set is fitted with a four-page memory to speed up operation and make it more convenient to use. If you are interested in Stock Market Reports or TAB betting, then the four most used pages would be set on these four colour-coded buttons and be instantly available. See STORE in an earlier section for the way to do this). There are two . ways to use the buttons: List Mode The buttons are made available in LIST mode by pressing the (PR--) button (7) after pushing button (15) to enter Teletext. The character "L" appears at the bottom left of the screen and the coloured buttons may then be pressed to show the . corresponding page number. FASTEXT Mode Press (PR--) again to access FASTEXT. In this case, the information stored is set by the. TV station. (usually the Main index). The memory of the four colour-coded buttons (24) is continually updated as Teletext scans through. Pressing any of these buttons makes the information on that page instantly available (once the system has first scanned through). The information is no available until Teletext has first scanned through. . Index - The index button (18) gives access to the stored list of page numbers or switches to the red button if the station is not sending- this 'information. . Sub pages - Some pages (such as Share Prices) have sub pages. If page 210 is selected (say) then there may be three sub-pages on that one number. This is shown on the screen as 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 in a three-page set. They are accessed by waiting until the scan comes around again (15 to 30 seconds), when the page shown will jump to the next sub-page, or by using the TIME TEXT button (11) and entering the required sub- page number when S* * * * is shown on the screen, To enter sub-page 3 enter 0003. This does not speed up the process. The sub-page can only be seen when the TV station sends it. To stop the page changing to the sub-page, use the HALT button (22). The locked page is released by pressing the button again. . Size - For convenience in reading Teletext across the room, the size of the page may be expanded by the SIZE button (21). first the top half. then the bottom half, and thirdly to resume the normal size. .
