Checking the system operations After purchasing your camera-recorder, follow the instructions for checking the system operations to ensure that the unit is working properly before you attempt to shoot anything. Connecting the power cord Getting ready AC adapter AC cord DC cord 2 1 3 2 1 Connect the DC cord to the DC input socket. 2 Connect the other end of the DC cord and one end of the AC cord to the AC adapter. 3 Plug the other end of the AC cord into the power outlet. Connect the cords properly as shown in the figure above. The battery cannot be charged when power is being supplied to the camera-recorder from the AC adapter. Mini DV cassette tape The AC adapter is designed to switch over automatically to the supply voltage (110 V, 120 V, 220 V or 240 V) and frequency (50 Hz or 60 Hz) of every country in the world. However, in some countries the power outlet may be a different shape. If this is the case, you will have to purchase an adapter plug that fits your power outlet; however, only do this after consulting with your dealer. 12
