Connection Options for Improved Playback Quality You can enjoy a high-quality picture by using the following terminals for connection. Standard Quality Picture VIDEO terminal S VIDEO terminal COMPONENT VIDEO terminal Highquality Picture HDMI terminal DVD output and DVD/VHS output The unit has DVD/VHS common output terminals and DVD priority output terminals. DVD/VHS common output Both DVD and VHS signals can be output. If connecting with the DVD/VHS common out terminals, closed caption cannot be displayed by this unit while playing a tape. Make the settings and display on a TV that supports Closed Captioning. DVD priority output This is the dedicated terminal to enjoy pictures played on DVD in higher picture quality. The DVD priority out terminals can also output the VHS signal. However this is not possible during DVD recording or DVD scheduled recording.
