Useful Information Problem I can make and answer cellular calls but cannot hear a sound. I cannot switch cellular calls from the unit to the cellular phone. I cannot make a call using a landline. I cannot make or answer a call. I cannot use a cellular line or a landline. I cannot make long distance calls. I cannot use voice paging. Cause/solution R The Bluetooth technology on your cellular phone may not be functioning normally. Turn off and on your cellular phone. R Disconnect and reconnect the base unit AC adaptor and try again. R Your cellular phone may not support this feature. Refer to the operating instructions of your cellular phone. R The dialing mode may be set incorrectly. Change the setting (page 16). R An outside line is being used after a cell locator feature is used. - KX-TGE460 series: To end the call, press MLOCATES CELLN on the base unit. - KX-TGE470 series: To end the call if someone answers using the cellular phone, press MZN on the base unit. R The unit can be used to talk on 2 lines at the same time (for example, 2 cellular lines, or the landline and 1 cellular line). R Make sure that you have long distance service. R You cannot use voice paging if other units are in use. R Voice paging is not available when a range extender (KX-TGA405) is registered to the base unit. Caller ID/Talking Caller ID Problem Caller information is not displayed. Cause/solution R You must subscribe to Caller ID service. Contact your phone service provider for details. R If your unit is connected to any additional telephone equipment such as a Caller ID box or cordless telephone line jack, plug the unit directly into the wall jack. R If you use a DSL/ADSL service, we recommend connecting a DSL/ADSL filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack. Contact your DSL/ADSL provider for details. R The name display service for landline calls may not be available in some areas. Contact your phone service provider for details. R Other telephone equipment may be interfering with this unit.
