WARNING To reduce the risk of fire,electric shock,or injury: • Do not leave vacuum cleaner when plugged in.Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing. • Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces. • Do not allow to be used as a toy.Close attention is necessary when used by or near children. • Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments. • Do not use with a damaged cord or plug. If vacuum cleaner is not working as it should,has been dropped,damaged,left outdoors,or dropped into water,return it to a service center. • Do not pull or carry by cord,use cord as a handle,close a door on cord,or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run vacuum cleaner over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. Do not allow plug to whip when rewinding. • Do not use the cleaner to pick up sharp hard objects, small toys, pins, paper clips,etc. They may damage the cleaner or dust bag. • Always change the dust bag after vacuuming carpet cleaners of freshener,powders and fine dust. These products clog the bag, reduce airflow and can cause the bag to burst. Failure to change bag could cause permanent damage to the cleaner. • Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. Do not put on chairs,tables,etc. Keep on floor. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS THIS VACUUM CLEANER IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY To reduce the risk of electric shock,this vacuum cleaner has a polarized plug(on blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. Notice Before you plug in your Panasonic Vacuum Cleaner,make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate located at the back of the vacuum cleaner is the same as your local supply. A- IDENTIFICATION OF MAIN PARTS A) Turbine nozzle (3 in 1 TURBINE NOZZLE) B) Connection pipe C) Hose D) Suction regulator E) Curved wand F) Telescopic wand G) Hose inlet H) Dust indicator I ) Dust cover J) ON /OFF Switch pedal K) Cord rewind pedal L) Crevice nozzle M) Dusting brush N) Exhaust cover O) Plug P) Variable power control button B - HOW TO ASSEMBLE YOUR CLEANER B-1 Insert connection pipe into hose inlet until it locks. When removing hose assembly, pull out connection pipe with pushing down two connection buttons. NOTE: Do not bend, pull and step on the hose or put anything heavy on it. B-2 Insert the hose unit into the upper end of the telescopic wand. Twist the telescopic wand so that the round hole will fit into the tab on the hose unit. (When removing the hose, push the tab down while pulling out the telescopic wand) Attach the Turbine Nozzle to the other end ( Removal as per reverse procedure) B-3 You can adjust the length of telescopic wand by pushing button. 4
