Setting categories Set categories to make it easier to see what kind of programs are in the list. 1 Press [1] (cursor) while the program you want to categorize is highlighted. 2 Press [3 4 2 1] to select a category and press [MENU] to confirm and return to the previous screen. The new item is added and the oldest item is deleted. ≥"REMAINING CASSETTE 0 FOR JET NAVIGATOR DATA" appears when you try to store items for more than 20 tapes. Delete all the Jet Navigator data in the unit if you want to save the data for the tape (l 38). ≥The list does not appear when playing tapes recorded on other equipment. ≥Parts of the list data are recorded on the tape. Take care when recording over older recordings that you do not overlap it. It is recorded within a few minutes either side of the beginning of the recording (longer if you used EP or VP). To demonstrate the Jet navigator function Keep [NAVI] pressed for more than 5 seconds without inserting a cassette tape. Finding programs-VHS Index Search System (VISS) Use the index marks on a tape to find sections to play. The unit adds index marks when recording starts. To add them manually during recording, press [SHIFT]i[¥ REC]. While stopped or during play Press [:] (backward) or [9] (forward) to skip to the part you want to play. [:] twice once once [9] twice STATUS/ FUNCTIONS On-screen display To see these displays, set the OSD item in the OPTION menu to ON. Press [STATUS/FUNCTIONS].
