108 POP UP THE BUILT-IN FLASH MANUALLY Daylight-Sync Shooting In daylight conditions, when a portrait picture is taken with a person's face cast in shadow, discharging the flash will eliminate the shadow. 1.Press the flash pop-up button ( ). 2.Confirm that the flash mode is set to Flash ON. 3.Confirm either the built-in or the external flash is fully charged. If the background is too bright, it may be over exposed. 4.Take a picture. ✍ MEMO • When taking a daylight-sync photograph with displayed on the LCD panel, the flash may not discharge. • Set the flash mode to Flash ON to discharge flash in daylight. Without Daylight-Sync With Daylight-Sync Using other types of flash Use of non-Pentax flash units may damage the camera. For the best results, use a Pentax dedicated flash unit.
