264 Troubleshooting We recommend checking the following items before contacting a service center. Problem Cause Remedy The camera does not turn on The battery is not installed The battery power is low Check if a battery is installed. If not, install a charged battery. Replace with a charged battery or use the AC adapter D-AC50 (optional). (p.39) The shutter does not release The lens aperture ring setting is other than the s position Set the lens aperture ring to the s position (p.84) or select [Permitted] in [36. Using aperture ring] in the [A Custom Setting] menu (p.251). The flash is charging Wait until charging is finished.
