PENTAX ImC,35•IF PENTA% LENS PEN -TAX II Insertion of Batteries The electronic system of your Pentax PC35AF operates on two 1.5V mini batteries, (Alkaline battery AAA) (Caution: NiCd batteries can not be used.) 1. Open the battery chamber cover located at the base of the camera by sliding it in the direction of the arrow; use fingernail in the groove to push the cover. 2. Fit two batteries into the chamber as indicated-they should be fitted as shown. Note the + and - markings provided. 3. Close the cover by pushing it back. cD, The new Pentax PC35AF is a compactly designed 35mm Auto Exposure camera with programmed shutter, incorporating completely focus-free operation; the outstanding .....; . feature of the built-in auto focus system. In addition, it features a built-inelectronic flash unit for use where there is insufficient light-or to fill in dark areas and other similar situations. To close, push protector back, locking same in its original position. • With the protector closed, a safety device prevents accidental firing of the shutter; similarly, the flash pop-up release is also m•• 11 locked at the same time. • While holding the camera, even a slight pushing-back of the lens protector would activate the built-in safety device, locking the shutter button. This is to avoid possible vignetting.
