Darning with Darning Hoops (See page 23 for preparing your machine for darning.) Clamp fabric into darning hoops, cut out small arid mediumsized holes following the fabric grain. First stitch back and forth across the hole with the machine running at high speed. Then turn the fabric at right angles and sew back and forth over preceding work with short stitches. This anchors threads in the unworn area around the hole. R 8288 24
