6. Machine Works Heavily Couse: Hook raceway locks oil or is obstructed by pieces of thread. Mechanism clogged by inferior oil. Bobbin winder working whfle sewing. Remedy: Clean and oil hook raceway. Use only Pfoff sewing machine oil - never salod oil or glycerine. Stop bobbin winder. 7. Machine Fails to Sew Zigkag or Ornamental Stitch Desired Cause: Remedy: Wrong fashion disc inserted or none at all. Jerk stitch width lever to "0" and insert proper fashion disc. For straight stitching, too, a fashion disc should be inserted in the machine (see pp. 6, 7 and 9). 8. Motor Idles Cause: Motor disengaging lever raised Remedy: Flick lever down (see page 5). Thread Jamming The Pfaff rotary hook will happen to jam in the hook not normally raceway, the jam, even power of if the machine should be handled the motor in most instances will be improperly.
